We invest in promising schools, effective educators and leaders and holistic supports for families to prepare all Chicago students to succeed in college or other post-secondary opportunities
We believe in supporting excellent teaching and learning in classrooms to allow all students to perform at high standards and graduate from high school prepared for success in college or other post-secondary opportunities. With budget shortfalls, Chicago Public Schools has the shortest school day and year in the country, as well as understaffed schools and under-supported teachers. The crisis has contributed to nearly 50% high school dropout rates and just 6% college graduation rates. Our portfolio supports systemic change through direct service and capacity building grants, replications of best practices, innovative grants and research grants.
