As the largest free clinic in Illinois, CommunityHealth provides more than 32,000 individuals and families with free medical and dental services. Founded in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, CommunityHealth recently expanded to the Englewood community. CommunityHealth manages more than 20 specialty services through more than 400 volunteer health providers and the clinic’s 340 volunteers that provide interpretation, lab and pharmacy services, triage workers, front desk assistants and more. To qualify for CommunityHealth’s services, patients must be uninsured and have an annual household income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level, defined by the federal government as $55,000 for a family of four.
